Ministry: Russia threshes 89.9 mln tns of grain as of Thursday

MOSCOW, Sep 5 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers threshed 89.9 million tonnes of grain in bunker weight from 31.1 million hectares as of Thursday after 82.4 million tonnes from 29.2 million hectares as of the same date last year, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.

The crop yield rose 2.5% on the year to 29 metric centners per hectare.

The Agriculture Ministry expects the Russian grain harvest to amount to 118 million tonnes in 2019.
